Our core ensemble includes several trusted and talented collaborators. In addition to speaking into and implementing artistic vision and strategy, each team member has a primary area of responsibility and a secondary task they'll be learning over the course of the season.

ACTING ENSEMBLE

The Acting Ensemble consists of actors who are familiar with our process and way of working. They will appear in different shows across the season, functioning as the "starter" in a bread-baking process, welcoming new actors to our company and helping facilitate / demonstrate some of the techniques we use as part of rehearsal. They are not pre-cast in roles: they still audition like everyone else, but are guaranteed something somewhere in the season in exchange for the help they provide through the year. The goal is to ultimately build this group as more actors become familiar with how we work.

DESIGN ENSEMBLE

Design Ensemble members — in exchange for being guaranteed a design gig somewhere in our season — will help to welcome new guest designers and acquaint them with our ways of working within the company. These artists will also serve as a resource to guest designers throughout their season of working with SotP, making sure they understand our processes and systems, have access to the tools they need to do their work, and understand the working vocabulary that's been established.
